At the Reichmuth & Co Lecture No. 18, a presentation by Dr. Theo Waigel was planned with the topic “The new role of Europe in a changed world”. Dr. Waigel studied law and political science in Munich and Würzburg and received his doctorate in law in 1967. From 1982 to 1989, Dr. Waigel was chairman of the CSU parliamentary group. From 1989 to 1998, Dr. Theo Waigel was Federal Minister of Finance. He served for several years as Compliance Monitor for Siemens and was a member of the Independent Compliance Review Panel at Airbus. In 2021 he chaired a commission of experts at Ernst & Young.
