Switzerland as a business location – a plea for legal certainty
At Reichmuth & Co Lectures No. 11, Peter Brabeck, former CEO of Nestlé, warned that Switzerland could jeopardize its attractiveness as a business location through frequent changes in the law.
Peter Brabeck-Letmathe headed the Nestlé Group from 1997 to 2008, until 2005 as Delegate, then as Chairman and CEO, and from April 2008 as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Peter Brabeck-Letmathe graduated from the University of World Trade in Vienna with a degree in business administration. After joining the Nestlé Group in 1968, he spent a significant part of his career in Latin America before being transferred to Nestlé Headquarters in Vevey as a Director. Peter Brabeck-Letmathe holds various directorships. Among others, he is Vice Chairman of the Founding Board of the WEF and Chairman of the Founding Board of the Verbier Festival, a member of the Salt Board of Directors and of the Advisory Board of Amrop. Recently, Mr. Brabeck-Letmathe was inducted into the American Advertising Federation’s Hall of Fame.
