THE HISTORY OF THE RÜTLI-FOUNDATION

2000 – Establishment of the Rütli-Foundation

Aside from his private client business, Karl Reichmuth was also passionate about supporting the common good. That’s why he, along with a friend and the Reichmuth & Co private bank, provided the funding to establish the Rütli-Foundation.

2008 – Launch of Returns for Charity

Returns for Charity (Rendite für Gemeinnützigkeit®) is another innovative way to donate income from a percentage of assets to charitable causes by means of a usufruct, but not (yet) the assets themselves.

2017 – More than CHF 100 million donated

The amount donated by the Rütli-Foundation has reached CHF 100 million since its inception in 2000.

2022 – More than 180 projects

The amount of assets held by the Rütli-Foundation totals around CHF 300 million. It now supports more than 180 projects each year. Reichmuth & Co also manages around CHF 540 million in foundation funds from independent foundations.
